(± 60-90 mins) Misconduct and harm have no place on our campuses or in our lives—but change doesn’t happen in silence. Seeing (RED) is a dynamic, interactive speaker series that brings real conversations to the forefront of the collegiate anti-violence movement.

This presentation is specifically tailored to address interpersonal violence such as domestic violence, sexual assault, and dating violence. The mission of this program is to:

  • RECOGNIZE the signs of interpersonal violence, coercion, and harm – whether in language, behavior, or culture. Awareness is the first step toward change.
  • EMPOWER survivors, allies, and communities by listening, believing, supporting, and taking action. Everyone has a role in creating safe, respectful spaces.
  • DISRUPT harmful norms, perpetrators, silence, and systems that allow violence to continue. Speak up, intervene, and reimagine what accountability and justice can look like.

The Seeing (RED) Series gives voice to the survivors and allies as a holistic approach. Ebony Stewart utilizes poetry and storytelling from real-life experiences while providing educational opportunities and building awareness. Seeing (RED) is also designed to help participants recognize and respond to problematic behavior, while encouraging prevention and communication.
When dating violence awareness is highlighted, Seeing (RED) directly speaks to relationships, healthy boundaries, and peer education. Each presentation invites participants to go beyond listening—through open dialogue, Q&As, interactive workshops, and creative storytelling.

Ebony will cover everything from what survivor-centered support really looks like, to how we challenge rape culture, navigate campus systems, and build communities of care. Whether you’re new to these conversations or deeply involved in the work, this series is about learning with each other, not just talking at each other.

Come with your questions, your voice, and your passion. Together, we’re not just raising awareness—we’re building a movement.
